It is rumored that together with the launch of Xbox 720 there will also be four games (for now): Ryse, Forza Motorsport 5, a zombie game and a family game. The actual titles for the zombie and family games are currently unknown the family-friendly game is apparently set on an island with Pixar movie-like style graphics. Furthermore, “the family pixar-like title will use Kinect to scan bodies and generate virtual characters in-game”.
Since the day it was announced Watch Dogs looked like it was going to be the franchise that brought Ubisoft into the next-gen. The dense city, huge crowds, and gorgeous graphics all indicated processing power a little better than the Xbox 360 could pull off, but Ubisoft wasn’t ready to confirm the title for anything outside current consoles until very recently.
The inevitable release of a new Call of Duty this fall is a plain truth about Activision’s current business model.
The just-announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag needs to make an appearance as well. Just as Ubi had a port of ACIII ready for the Wii U launch.
EA has allied itself with Microsoft for the 720 launch, which would mean you can definitely count on EA hits like Madden 25 to be there in full force.
Driving games are a staple for early console releases, thanks in no small part to the genre being a great way to showcase a system’s graphical prowess and we are thinking Ridge Racer maybe at the launch of the Xbox 720.
One of the prevailing rumors about the Xbox 720 is that the system will ship with a revamped Kinect packed in. If this new tech exists, then it’s going to need some software that can showcase any advancements in picture fidelity and motion tracking. This is where Crytek’s Ryse can finally make its grand return.
